The type of bariatric surgery that is best for a person depends on a number of factors, including:
- Body Mass Index (BMI)
- Health condition
- Life habits
Stomach Botox: Botulinum toxin is administered to block muscle contractions. In this way, the food stays longer in the stomach, satiating the patient. The procedure lasts 20-25 minutes.
Gastric balloon: An expandable balloon filled with saline is placed. It limits the volume of the stomach, reducing food intake. There are two types: ingestible and endoscopic. The procedure lasts 20-30 minutes.

results
- Average weight loss: 7% - 15% in 6 months.
- It depends on the patient's motivation for a healthy lifestyle.
Patients with a BMI over 40 are not suitable. Bariatric surgery is more suitable for them.
The choice between Botox and Balloon depends on:
- The individual needs of the patient.
- Physician preferences.
It is important to note:
- These methods are only aids.
- A lifestyle change is required for lasting results.

types of Bariatric surgery
Bariatric surgery, also known as weight loss surgery, is a method of dealing with morbid obesity. In cases where it is used to treat chronic diseases, such as diabetes, it is called metabolic surgery.
The surgery is performed to permanently change the digestive system to aid weight loss.
Sleeve gastrectomy: This is the most commonly performed type of bariatric surgery. It reduces the volume of the stomach by 80% and stops the production of the hunger hormone ghrelin. It is performed laparoscopically and takes about 50-60 minutes.
Mini gastric bypass: Gastric bypass limits the amount of food that can be consumed at one time. It also reduces the amount of calories consumed. Stomach reduction is combined with malabsorption. It is performed laparoscopically.
Gastric bypass: A small pouch is created in the upper part of the stomach by attaching part of the small intestine to the pouch. In this way, the amount of food and the absorption of calories are limited. It is performed laparoscopically.
